"Secrets In The Shadows" was one of the most greatest books that I've read in the "Bluford series collections". Secrets in the shadows was about a boy named "Roylin" who someone played a bad prank on. what had happened was that Roylin really adored a girl in his school, towards where he got himself caught up in the moment. He bought this girl a $300 bracelet that she wanted. Although he didn't have to. He made a horrible mistake to impress her.He found out that he didn't have enough money in his savings to buy her the bracelet she wanted so he went money treasure hunting and took money from his old friend while he was sleeping. Later on that night The super attended told Roylin That the old man passed away. The super attendant who doesn't like Roylin saw him take the money and threaten him like crazy! The attendant "Turtle" made Roylin his personal slave and told him if he wouldn't do things for him than he would tell the cops that he killed "Mr. miller". Turtle buried Mr. Miller in the basement, that's what he told Roylin anyway. Royin was very frighten and didn't know what to do. He also thought he was responsible for his death so he had no choice, but to follow along. Roylin told his friend cooper what had happened and his friend told Roylin in order to find out if that's the elderly man body we need to dig the body back up in look inside of the bag. They did and found out Turtle was lying. There was sand in the bag instead of a body. Roylin was excited and Turtle seen that they discovered the truth and begged not to hurt him. The elderly man was in a nursing home, his daughter sent him. Roylin visited him everyday. By the way the girl Roylin adored in the beginning asked him out but he said "no" because she really didn't like him she had her eye on another guy.Roylin caught her kissing guy named "Steve".Wow see this book was Dramaaaaa.All of this trouble from a girl who didn't even like him that well.
